Plus, you can customize the texture, with an adjustable food-to-water ratio! Use alone or in conjunction with ourlow phosphorus, low protein tuna pate.
Dave’s Phosphorus Chicken Crumble for dogs is made in a food grade kitchen (inspected and regulated in the same way any human food establishment would be), with pet food ingredients. It’s USDA organic, slow cooked and baked. Crumbles dry out on oven racks before they’re put into the mixer and bagged.
Once opened, it is good for 30-60 days at optimal storage conditions (room temperature). If there is a change in smell or appearance, do not feed.
Once water is added, it’s very similar to an opened can product. We suggestcovering and using within 48 hours if stored in the refrigerator.
The 4# bag has approximately 8cupsofcrumble. The 10# bag has approximately 20cupsofcrumble
Our Restricted Diet formulas are intended for intermittent and supplemental feeding only. The low levels of phosphorous in the food does not meet The Association of American Feed Control Officials (AAFCO) requirements for healthy adult maintenance. We only recommend using this food if your pet is having an issue that requires them to be on a low, restricted diet. Once (and if) the issue is resolved, you will want to switch back to a regular diet. If the issue is chronic, it is okay to maintain the diet. As always, we recommend speaking with your veterinarian concerning feeding guidelines when your pet is challenged by health issues.
