Omega-3 is a polyunsaturated fat that is liquid at room temperature. Fat is an essential part of any diet, yet not all fats are the same. Saturated fats, such as those found in meats, are bad for health. Unsaturated fats, such as those found in fish, are good. Omega-3 and Omega-6 fatty acids are both good polyunsaturated fats.
